"I’ve been part of the Garden Group scene from its very beginning, in fact you could say I am one of the founder members. The fact that my father and his before him were either gardeners or smallholders has something to do with the way that I have been able to share some of the founder’s enthusiasm,
I’m usually to be found somewhere in the garden at Chapel Street or at Great Close Field. I firmly believe in the principles by which the garden is run, the lack of use of chemicals and the inclusive enjoyment of all the tasks of which each is capable.
I am proud to be part of the group as it continues to develop for it has to be remembered that nothing stands still and I share with all the volunteers whatever their skills all good wishes for the group’s future".
